Mistryo operates as a technology platform connecting customers with independent, verified service professionals. Because of our unique Zero-Commission and "Pay After Service" model, our refund and cancellation policies are incredibly straightforward.
1. Customer Cancellations
We understand that emergencies happen and schedules change.
- Free Cancellation Before Arrival: Customers can cancel their service booking at any time before the assigned technician arrives at their location without any penalty.
- Visiting Fees: If the technician arrives at your location, inspects the appliance, and you decide not to proceed with the repair work, you are obligated to pay a nominal visiting/inspection fee directly to the technician for their time and travel.
- Platform Fees: Mistryo currently operates on a "Pay After Service" model (Cash/UPI directly to the technician). We do not collect upfront service charges, so there are no platform refunds required for cancelled bookings.
2. Service Disputes & Customer Refunds
Mistryo acts as an intermediary. The final contract for service and payment is directly between you (the Customer) and the independent Technician.
- Direct Payments: Since customers pay the technicians directly for labor and spare parts, Mistryo does not hold these funds and cannot process direct refunds for service-related disputes.
- The 30-Day Warranty: Instead of monetary refunds, we protect our customers through our 30-Day Post-Service Warranty. If the exact same issue reoccurs within 30 days of the repair, the technician will revisit and fix the issue completely free of labor charges.
- In cases of severe misconduct or proven fraud by a technician, our Trust & Safety team will intervene, permanently ban the technician, and assist the customer in finding an equitable resolution.
3. Partner Subscription Plans (Verified Pro)
For technicians, Mistryo offers "Verified Pro" subscription plans (e.g., Monthly/Yearly) to enhance profile visibility, rank #1 in local searches, and receive a verified trust badge.
- Non-Refundable: Subscription payments are strictly non-refundable once the service period has commenced and the Verified Badge has been activated on your profile.
- Cancellation of Auto-Renewal: Partners can cancel their subscription auto-renewal at any time from their Dashboard. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will continue to enjoy "Verified Pro" benefits until that cycle ends. No partial refunds are provided for mid-cycle cancellations.
4. Partner Lead Fees
Mistryo charges technicians a flat platform fee (e.g., ₹150) for successful leads instead of taking a heavy percentage commission.
- Post-Paid Model: Technicians are only required to pay this lead fee after they have successfully completed the job and collected payment from the customer.
- Because you only pay for successful conversions, there is no need to request refunds for cancelled leads, fake customer numbers, or rejected quotes. If a job doesn't happen, you don't pay.
5. Eligible Refund Process (Technical Errors)
Mistryo will process a 100% refund back to the original payment method under the following specific technical scenarios:
- Double Deductions: If a technical error or bank timeout caused your card/account to be charged twice for the same subscription plan.
- Service Failure: If you paid for a Verified Pro subscription, but the badge and benefits were not activated on your profile within 48 hours due to a system failure.
Refund Timeline: Approved refunds for technical errors are processed immediately from our end. Depending on your bank or credit card issuer, it typically takes 5 to 7 business days for the funds to reflect in your account.
